Especially in the upland of Campo Imperatore there are steppes, dry and mesophile grasslands, high altitude grasslands with blue moor grass, screes, tundras, small snow valleys, wet grasslands, water springs, small lakes, small bogs and rock faces. Among the most interesting plant species there are many endemic plants, high mountain plants and plants from the Ice Age. Such specimens are present both on the pastures and on the surfaces crossed by the hiking network.

Depending on the marked variability of the environmental conditions, different plant species are present in the project area: forests with downy oaks, turkey oaks, manna ashes, hop hornbeams, beeches, grasslands consisting of steppes, dry and mesophile grasslands, high altitude grasslands with blue moor grass, screes, tundras, small snow valleys, wet grasslands, water springs, small lakes, small bogs and rock faces.
